My weekend was glorious, as anticipated.
I didn’t do everything I wanted to do (homework and emails fell by the wayside…surprise, surprise;)), but I did get to watch 3 movies, eat some delicious garlic and lime shrimp, and plant some beeeeuuutiful flowers.
I had a marvelous time.
The movies I watched (cause I know you are dying to know) were: 1. The Art of Getting By, 2. Fireflies in the Garden, and 3. Moneyball.
And my thoughts on the above films?:
1. The soundtrack and cinematography were wonderful. The boy in the story was captivating. The girl he loved was a waste of a person. Just saying.
2. Lovely soundtrack, as well. A little depressing, a little painful to watch at times, but the little teeny inspirational and funny moments made it worthwhile. The ending was unexpected, but stunning, I thought.
3. Such a solid, solid movie. I thought the characters were captivating and the story was invigorating. And ALSO, an amazing soundtrack. I may rent it again this week, just because it made me feel good.
The rest of my week has looked something like this:
On Monday, I got an email from Ethan<3 and spent 4 hours baking Valentine’s day cupcakes for everyone at work.
Yesterday, I played Oregon Trail, grabbed a Valentine’s Day coffee with my roommate and ended the day with some solid studying.
The rest of this week I have completely set aside for only studying and going to the gym. Both are habits that I need to get into, so I’m going to cut out all the extra little distractions to make sure I get back into the swing of what’s good for me.
Despite all the loveliness of the week, though, it's been one of those that feels like it's completely sucked out the life out of me. I absolutely cannot wait for another weekend that will hopefully look like this. ^^^ i'm keeping my fingers crossed, so maybe i'll get lucky.;)
hope you all had a sweet and romantic Valentine's Day!
