Info Post

It’s Friday.  I am feeling more tired than I usually do at the end of the week.  Normally, Friday is my own personal celebration day where I wear extra make-up and take extra time doing my hair and where I put on my highest, cutest heels (which I call my Friday shoes :))…all with time to spare for picking up a latte on the way to work.  Not today, though.  This morning, I hit snooze for an hour until I had exactly ten minutes before I had to be out the door.  And getting ready in ten minutes means I am not having an especially cute day.  I am okay with this, though, because today is basically the Christmas eve of the weekend. :) And boy, am I excited.  I have high hopes for the next two days.  I am hoping to live in boxer shorts and knee-high socks. For endless cups of coffee.  For overcast weather.  For one sunset on the beach and maybe to find a place to pick pumpkins.  To see Ethan.
Those are my hopes, but either way, I’m thankful that it’s the weekend.  And I’m thankful for all the little things this week that brought me on the brink of the two days I work so very hard for:
-Studying my butt off and getting a 97 on my first psych test and a 93 on my first logic test.  Proof that I still got it!
-Getting to see Ethan not once, but twice.  I have not seen Ethan on any weekdays since this whole Marine adventure began, so that's a pretty extra-special occurrence.  On Tuesday, he picked me up from work and took me to lunch.  And last night, he took me to this design-your-own-burger restaurant, where lively conversation about the places we’ve traveled hung over our delicious concoctions of cheeseburgers and the most divine margaritas I have ever had in my life.

the most delicious margarita that has ever existed.

-An amazing radio sermon about Peter walking on water.  The way the pastor described Peter’s longing to be near Jesus amidst the storm made my heart ache in the best way.
-Texts and emails from good, good friends.
-Being blessed with a job that gives me money to buy a plane ticket to go home to sacramento for a weekend in october.  I am beyond ecstatic to hug and squeeze my favorite people.  No words can possibly do those moments justice. Home.  Home home home.  I can’t wait.
- Getting straight across bangs again.  They just make me happy.
-Actually getting that feeling like it’s falllllll. I know so many of you agree that the coming of this next season is pretty stinkin beautiful.
And those are just some of my Friday thankfuls for this week. :)

Tell me, friends: what are you thankful for this Friday?
