Day 6 - Write 30 interesting facts about yourself.
ha, i like the qualifying factor on this. not only do I have to write 30 facts about myself, but they have to be 30 interesting facts. i make no promises ;)

1. coffee is my most favorite thing in this world. while i’m a sucker for white mochas and vanilla lattes, nothing brings as much joy to my heart as some freshly brewed coffee with a wee bit of half-and-half.
2. i am convinced i was born in the wrong state. i am a country girl at heart. i love small towns, big trucks, cowboy hats, demolition derbies, American flags and that simple, down-to-earth spirit so many southerners have. plus, who isn’t a sucker for one of those accents?
3. while i love my brown hair, sometimes i wish i could be a blonde. blonde hair is so pretty! i think one of these days i’m going to have to try and pull that off.
4. i really dislike being the center of attention. other people are so much more interesting and i’d rather the focus be on them.
5. i am a horrible at telling jokes.
6. i have an aversion to technology. basic internet, email, and texting are more than enough for me. all that iPhone stuff and apps and touch screens and even special features on DVDS…it’s too much for my brain! i like to keep things simple.
7. i adore skinny jeans.
8. i have a negative sense of direction.
9. i think old people are really, really cute.
10. i really want a sparrow tattoo, either on my side or on my foot. they’re cliché, but i still think they’re pretty and feminine.
11. pedicures are the one luxury i always give myself. nothing feels better than a pair of pampered feet and a set of manicured toesies.
12. the mountains are where i feel the most alive and also, the most at home.
13. i am extremely close with my family. i love them more than i ever thought possible to love anyone. they’re one part of my life i absolutely would never change.
14. i looove running.
15. all my friends call me "grandma" because i have difficulty staying awake past 10pm.
15. all my friends call me "grandma" because i have difficulty staying awake past 10pm.
16. i have an incredibly weak stomach. i can’t have my blood drawn or get a novocain shot without nearly passing out every time. once, it took me 20 minutes to clean a cut i had on my eyebrow because the blood kept rushing to my head. i will clearly never be a nurse.
17. music is very personal to me. it’s never something i express outward, but more often, keep secretly to myself.
18. i am an intensely passionate libertarian/conservative.
19. i can have somewhat of a tough exterior, but my feelings can get hurt pretty easily.
20. i love reading, but i have a short attention span. it can take me months to finish a single book.
21. nothing can beat a homemade, barbecued cheeseburger.
22. i want to see and experience the beauty of every land, culture and people on this earth before the end of my life. to watch tribal dances in Africa, get henna from a woman in India, to sit in a drum circle with native americans. i want to climb the ruins in peru, swim the blue waters of greece, stand in awe of the Taj Majal, walk Jesus’ steps in Israel. i want to see and do and share in it all.
23. i am deathly afraid of the dark, masks, and swimming in water where i can’t see what’s beneath me.
24. one far-fetched item on my bucket list is to see Noah’s Ark in person. and i’ll never stop hoping to cross that one off :)
25. i think maybe i have one single creative bone in my body. only one. i love the arts, but i can only appreciate them as other people’s creations, not as my own.
26. i connect with men much easier than i connect with women.
27. the twilight books/movies never cease to turn me into a gushing 16-year-old girl.
28. i have another sibling that was never born and i can’t wait to meet them in heaven.
29. words are the most powerful thing, in my opinion. i try my best to always use them carefully, even on facebook and in text messages.
30. i have always felt God, even from the very beginning of my life. i became a Christian before i turned 5 years old. ever since then, i have never stopped desperately wanting to know Him better. the moment He came into my life is my most favorite memory and will probably remain the single, most important moment in my entire life. i am loved and in love and nothing is better than that :)
