Day 3: Your View on Drugs and Alcohol.
i didn't like this topic so much, but i'm writing it anyways, just to stay up with the challenge :) in looking at future topics, i may switch some of them up as i see fit.
anyways, drugs and alcohol, here we go.
okay, so prescription drugs, particularly painkillers? i see as a necessary evil. it’s never good to pump chemicals into your body, but sometimes i think it can’t be helped. a few years ago, i had tonsil and hand surgery, both in which i needed a strong dosage of painkillers. no problemo, i took them until i didn’t need them anymore and then stopped. and i loved those babies. they helped a lot. of course, i also think that if there’s a natural remedy that will offer you the same answer as a chemical drug, then i would absolutely choose what’s natural and better for my body.
i’m against legalizing marijuana, but i’m not sure where i stand as far as it being used for medical purposes. no, i don’t mean the marijuana card, which is kind of a joke, in my opinion, but people that are actually under medical supervision. i’ve heard that marijuana can relieve pain and stress and can also help patients eat and sleep. it seems silly to be against that, but then again, i’m only going off of hearsay.
anything else besides marijuana used for medical purposes, i definitely do not support. you’re destroying your body and damaging your soul by using drugs outside of medical purposes. in my opinion, there is a heavy spiritual oppression surrounding the usage of drugs and that is not how God intended us to live our lives.
as far as alcohol goes, i’m all about going wine-tasting and having a delicious margarita with my Mexican food. everything in moderation :)
