Sleeping in.
Cool, overcast days.
Knee high socks and converse sneakers.
A visit to old town…browsing all the little vintage shops. holding hands. sitting at the high tables in some rad little pub to drink cider and the best beer-dipped chips IN THE WORLD. finding the prettiest little boutique and scoring the ca-yooot-est shoes on the planet.
Watching Starsky and Hutch and Salt.
Watching Starsky and Hutch and Salt.
Laughing A LOT.

Besides being stressed out of my mind from homework, it was a really sweet weekend. Probably one of my favorites ever. I adore the slow walks, the savoring of my morning coffee, and the quaint feel of one of my favorite towns only 20 minutes from my house. More often than not, I feel like southern california is pushing me, rushing me, stretching me thin. But not this weekend. This weekend was slow and sweet and rich, like the freshest of honey.

I am trying to focus on being more of a slow-paced girl. And in those moments when I can indulge her, I feel at peace. Like I’m in the right place with the right perspective and all the unimportant stuff just kind of fades into nothingness.
I desperately wish I could do the past couple days over for the sheer joy of them. But since I can’t, I’ll simply bottle them up and carry them with me. And already, they’ve made the beginning of this week a lot less hard to handle and given me that many more reasons to be thankful.
