Info Post
good morning, all.

it's monday and it's back to business.

my weekend my busy, exhausting, and a lot of fun.

sunday was ethan's birthday, but i knew i wouldn't get a free moment with him on the actual day, so friday night he drove down to my house.  we were both dressed up to "go out" since that's what he thought we were doing, but SURPRISE!  i had cleared out my room and prepared a romantic dinner for two, complete with rose petals on the floor and tea candles scattered around the room.  we ate breadsticks and hummus, stuffed mushrooms and lasagna [made with love by yours truly:)] and drank "non-alcholic sparkling peach beverage" (the actual label on the bottle, which we laughed about for a long time).  after dinner, we danced to the music i had playing in the background (louie armstrong, ella fitzgerald, etc.).  it was very sweet and romantic, probably the favorite part of my entire weekend. :)  the tea candles eventually heated us out of the room, so we took a night walk around my neighborhood, then came back and watched Edward Scissorhands before falling asleep.

saturday we went out to los angeles, which was a nice change.  ethan took me to the shopping district in downtown LA, which was pretty much like a big flea market, then we went to another little area called Olvera Street, which felt like a little Mexico.

There was a DJ playing Mexican music and all the vendors were out selling Mexican clothes, jewelry, etc., plus a ton of cute little Mexican restaurants.  It was a warm evening so we just walked around for awhile before heading out to Glendale.   ethan took me to this outdoor mall there which was beautiful, especially at night with everything lit up.  we went to the outback for dinner, then took a long walk around outside and just enjoyed being together before heading back to his house in LA.  we watched face/off with john travolta and nicholas cage (cheesiest movie ever, haha) to end the day.

we planned to go to church sunday morning, but since we both woke up late, ethan took me to downtown Pasadena instead.  we walked around there for only an hour before both of us were exhausted (probably from all our adventures the day before).  we went back to his house and watched The Hunted, which was a great movie, then headed to his aunt's house for his birthday party.  we ate lots of good Mexican food, watched some of his family dance, ate cake and talked for hours.  by the time he took me home around 10, we were both exhausted and i'm still feeling it this morning.

it was a good weekend, though.  i was overjoyed just to be with ethan and enjoy our time together.  and it was a bonus to be able to explore and see more of the cool things that are down in so cal. :)

that's all for now, more updates coming soon!
