We licked cotton candy off of our fingers and stuffed our faces with churros and hot dogs and cheeseburgers. We hopped on ride after ride…some twice, some three or four or five times. We spun on teacups and flew through space and journeyed down under the sea. We took pictures in silly hats and watched toys come to life. At a place where people like Mary Poppins and the Mad Hatter roam the streets.
Even more, we found magic. On the pavement of a glowing Main Street. In the snowflakes that sauntered down to make homes on our noses. In a castle sparkling with dreams and kisses of true love and tales as old as time.
And Disneyland aside…we found it in hot tub talks. In hugs and laughter and squeals on rides and the nods of agreement in “let’s do that again!”
At the beginning of December, I got the pleasure of visiting Disneyland with my mom, one of my brothers, Brett, and my little sister, Amberly. We crammed so much Disneyland magic into 2 days that we only lasted a short couple of hours on our third, and last, day.
Needless to say, it was magical and it was marvelous and one of the funnest trips i've had to date.
disneyland: day 1

just being cool.

lunch at blue bayou, the restaurant inside the pirates of the caribbean ride.
you feel like you're right on the water on some romantic evening in new orleans...with candles lit at every table and fireflies flickering in the distance.
it's so, so magical.

california adventure: day 2

and my favorite newest addition to california adventure...
the beast's library:
goob.
for those of you that don't know me well, you should know that beauty and the beast is my favorite movie of all time.
you should also know that THIS--the beast's library--is actually the happiest place on earth and i could honestly live in there the rest of my days.
no pictures can possibly do any of it justice,
so this video is the closest i could get to capture the magic. :)
{notice the rose petal.}
