Day 25 - Something that fascinates you and why.
-men in general. i would love to be in the head of a man for just one day to see their reasoning behind how they live, i.e. that protector/warrior instinct, how they feel love, etc.
-space. how vast and fantastic is the universe!
-the sea. i love how God is constantly surprising us with "new" creatures and things in our oceans. we will probably never fully be able to explore the entire underwater world, which i love. i'm sure God did that on purpose :)
-different cultures. the dress, the mannerisms, the history, the lifestyles behind each of the different people groups on earth.
-different religions. Christianity is pretty simplistic, if you get down to it, while most other religions are not. i would love to understand each of the major religions in the world and what is the driving force behind following them.
-atheism! wow, that's a big one. i can grasp believing in other gods whether that be one or many. as humans we are always longing for something more, something eternal. but to not believe in anything bigger than us? i can't fathom living a life with that mindset.
-the Bible. the wisdom and knowledge and truth in the Bible is endless. it fascinates me how one book can't possibly get old.
-the human mind, in general. the things that motivate us, how easily influenced and manipulated we can be, our extraordinary will to live, our never-ending desire for something more...all of it absolutely boggles my mind and i would love to understand even just a fraction. probably why i want to get my degree in psychology and eventually become a counselor ;)
-and no matter how cliche it may seem, i have to say God :) like the sea and space and the Bible, He is vast and unexplored and never dull.
and just as the seas and space and the human mind are longing to be explored,
i have to assume that the God who created them has the very same longing.
He is calling us through all creation,
beckoning us to love
and be in love.
Romans 1:20: For since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
