Info Post

ugh, so i was trying to post this last night, but blogger was not working with me!

anyways, here goes :)  i'm slacking on this 30-Day thing, so thanks to you all who have been very patient with me :)

Day 23 - Give pictures of 5 famous guys you find attractive.

i decided i didn't like this topic so much.  not only do i not care for famous people, but i'm sure my boyfriend would NOT appreciate it if i followed through.

so instead, here are pictures of all the most important people in my life.  that way, you will all have faces to go with the names you may hear me mention :)

amberly:

my little sister :)  she's 16-years-old and a doll.

she has the sweetest heart and the greatest sense of humor.  she's a really good listener who will always ask you how you're doing.
she's also a little bit of a firecracker who never fails to tell you exactly what's on her mind :)
we're extremely close and i absolutely adore her.

oh yeah, and did i mention?  she's gorgeous :)

brett:

one of my 2 younger brothers.

he just turned 19 and everyone that has ever met him has to say that he's the best person they know - because he is.  his love for God is child-like and genuine and rare.  i have extreme respect and admiration for him.
he's also an incredible drummer - one to be reckoned with.

besides all that, brett is generally a big goofball and can't possibly fit into any stereotype.  everyone that knows him says, "he's just...brett."  and we all know exactly what that means :)

kyle:

the oldest of my 2 younger brothers.
he just turned 21 and he's crazy.

my mom always jokes about we don't know where he got his sense of humor because, well, we don't!  he's unlike anyone in my family in the way that he can get us all laughing until we cry in 10 seconds flat.
he's an extremely talented musician who can hear any song and learn to play it on the guitar within 30 minutes.  he's also a football genius.  anything you could possibly want to know about football?  yup, he knows it.
kyle also has a very soft heart (he cried at a walk to remember...don't tell him i told you!) and a genuine desire to learn and to become a better man everyday.

doug:

my stepdad of (almost) 5 years.

doug has been a huge blessing for our family.  he brings a calm, protective presence and has been a saving grace to all of us in different ways.
he is a tall man, covered in tattoos, and if you didn't know him personally, you might be a little intimidated :)  looks are somewhat deceiving though, as he is mostly quiet and introspective.  he always seems to choose his words carefully, but when he does speak, his presence demands attention.
he is also a knowledge junkie, which makes me laugh :) he always has his nose in a book or in his laptop, finding out new information about whatever strikes him at the moment.
he is passionately knowledgeable about the Bible, the end times, and he stands firm on his right to practice the 2nd amendment to bear arms!

(that's only a bb gun, but you get the idea!)

doug has been really great for me.  he has challenged me to demand better and at the same time, to let down my walls and let my femininity be my strength.  i am unbelievably thankful for the role he has played in my life and in the life of our family.

my mom:

if i could pick one word to describe my mom, it would be amazing.
she is the cutest little woman with an enormous faith.  her journey after God has consistently inspired my own and she never fails to remind me of His (and her) love for me.

some of my favorite moments in time are ones with her in the kitchen: me sitting at in the island, watching her putter around in her apron and talking and laughing for hours.

my mom has been the rock of my life.  through everything, she has always been the one to encourage me, lift me up, believe in me.
her role in my life has helped shape me more than any other person and i love her more than words can say.

ryan:

one of my best friends.

ryan and i met on a mission trip to jamaica in the summer of 2008.  neither one of us could've guessed that such a friendship would emerge from only 7 days in a foreign country.
ryan was the first person i texted when i landed back on American soil and hs been one of my most consistent friends ever since.  he is trustworthy, a good listener, and completely hilarious.
he has helped carry me through some intensely difficult times, the most recent being when my boyfriend was gone for 3 months in Marine boot camp.
i am so thankful for him and i hope our friendship will continue on for years to come.

kate:
my best friend of 14 years.

she is, hands down, the funniest person i know, and also one of the most genuine people i've ever met.  she has been my rock, my crying shoulder and my comic relief.  i love her dearly and i can't wait for us to be those cute little old ladies you see at restaurants who still have something to talk about :)

ethan:
my boyfriend of almost a year.

ethan is honest and genuine, a rare man of character.
he's not big on talking, so when he does, you know it means something.  he doesn't follow fads or crowds, but is constantly striving to be different, to be a leader.  we have the sweetest relationship.  he is always gentle with me...brushing the hair out of my face, kissing my forehead, keeping me close to him in public.  99% of the time we are either laughing hysterically or kissing each other until we realize people are probably staring.   i love him very much and trust him with my life and my heart.
